What Causes Holes In Retina Of Eyes?
I have negative power in my eyes. Around -1 in both the eyes. When i went for checkup four months back doctor found out two areas of retinal holes in my right eye and immediately did laser to seal the holes. Left eye was perfect at that time.Now again after three months when i went for check up he said i have traces leading to retinal holes in my left eye. I do masturbate 5 times a week. I doubt whether this practice had weakened my retina and causing holes?

Retinal holes are kown to occur with myopia( it is congenital , since birth) and have nothing to do with masturbation. Do not worry in that aspect.

Retinal holes occur as a result of retinal thinning associated with retinal degenerations.
Retinal holes are seen in refractive errors more commonly in myopia.
Masturbation is not related to these retinal holes.
Retinal holes require treatment by prophylactic laser photo coagulation.
