General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to the health care magic

Sorry to heard about your son death

I can understand your concern

Let me know both drug you have been mentioned is from same group of drug that is selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor

You can choose any one drug from this

In depression, serotonin is less as per few study..
So this drug will be beneficial to you and take it regularly

SSRI drug should be taken for 6 to 8 month regularly

Behavioural counselling also will be beneficial

Yoga, meditation will be beneficial

Take care

Hope your concern solved

Consult psychiatrist for your examination and regularly follow up done
