What Causes Hematoma Around An Eye?
my mother got bumped head on right side then she applied ice packed over the affected area,why after 3 days after she woke up there was hematoma developed around her right eyes?what is the cause and is it consider serious or she is good and nothing to worry about?

It seems from the history that your mother had a injury to the right side of head and following it on third day she is having hematoma around the eye.
This is because of collection of blood in layers of eyelid skin.
Since the layers of eyelid are loosely arranged they get distended by fluis or blood following injury.
This is a self resolving condition and no treatment may be required. Treatment by cold compression helps.
