What Causes Heavy White Discharge While Urinating?

Sometimes when I urinate, a heavy mucus-like discharge is evident when I wipe my vagina with toliet paper. The color is usually white/slightly off-white. There is no smell, burning sensation or itching. I am sexually active and taking the pill...but have not had sex in the last 3-4 months. Is this normal?

Hello,

You should get investigated for your problem with urine routine microscopic examination and culture.

The whitish discharge in urine could be due to pus cells or some amorphous other material. So urine routine microscopic examination should be done for primary work up.

You can revert back with reports once done. If all comes normal then no need to worry.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
