What Causes Heavy Menstrual Bleeding?

Hi i am 33 yrs old.i got my mensuration on 5th april.till today i hav heavy bleeding.my doc suggested me to take pause xt .i am having it frm last two days twice in a day.till now there is no difference in bleeding.i hav also pcod problem wid irregulat periods.m also gaining the weight.i m very depressed .pls suggest me what to do.answer me soon .

Hi, I think you need a high dose of progesterone to stop the bleeding.Talk to your doctor regarding this. Also get a thyroid profile and prolactin level done. You can take some hormonal treatment for pcos. You can also try metformin, and medicines containing myoinositol and n acetyl cysteine. Hope it helps.
