General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

- When your blood pressure drops, the bodies automatic response is to increase the force and pace of the heartbeats. As a result you may feel your heart pounding.
- Additionally, the drugs that were given to you to bring your blood pressure can cause the same
- I believe this will settle down in a few days

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
