What Causes Hearing Loss And Pulsations In Ear?

I had a very large glomus jugulaire a few years ago on the right side ,i had major surgery followed by six weeks of radiotheraphy .Afew months ago i started to lose the hearing in my left ear and noticed the familar pulsing i had a ct and mri which were inconclusive so my consultant decided to put a grommet in my ear to see if it helped well the short answer is it has made no difference at all. I have a family history of paragangoliomas with all my sibling having carotiod bi lateral tumors. My question is should i be concerned and is it possible for the scans to have missed another mass

Hello,

Inner ear pathology has to be ruled out. Consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated. An MRI brain is needed for further assessment.
