What Causes Headaches Along With Fatigue And Stomach Ache?

I have had a headache and have been very tired the last several days. I also have periods where my stomach is upset and it is difficult to eat. It reminds me how I felt as a teenager when I had mono. What could be causing this and should I see a doctor?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi there,

Thanks for writing in.

I would advise you to get a couple of investigations done : complete blood picture , Thyroid function tests, Vitamin D , Vitamin B12 levels, liver function test, Blood sugar levels etc....as abnormal values in any of the above tests could cause symptoms similar to what you are experiencing.

When you have periods, it is normal not to have a good appetite on the first or second day, with sometimes mild loose motions. Also headaches are common in some individuals before the onset of periods.

Hope this information was helpful to you.

Warm Regards,
Dr. Divya Kuttikrishnan
