What Causes Hardness In Abdomen After Several Hernia Repair Surgeries?

I have had a long history of small abd hernias and some going as far as strangled hernias i have had 7 surg for repairs with 2 of these being bowel obs. My last surg was 8 yrs ago and every since i had that surg my stomach looks uneven with one side being hard as a rock. Im obeose and have a stomach apron could this be a pannus and are they hard
