What Causes Gradual Weight Decrease In A Professional Baseball Player?

My son plays professional baseball. He is 25 years old and has lost a lot of weight over the past year but he eats all the time. He is 6 3 tall and when he graduated college he weighed 185lbs. Now he is about 170lbs. What could be the problem. I have asked him to get it checked out but he never does.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
It may be due to physical exertion and lack of proper nutrition. 170 is not the hat much low for his height and nothing much to worry.
As of now no treatment is required and no need to get evaluated.
However you can do a complete blood count to lol for any anemia and ESR also can be down to look for any chronic infection or chronic disease.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
I find this answer helpful
