What Causes Frequent Dry Cough And Burping?

Hi Dr.,I have a DVT and have recently needed to stay off coumadin for 6 days in order to get a spinal epidural (recovering from herniated disc-the immobility caused the DVT). I have been on coumadin for just over 6 months now, and wondering if I should be concerned about a PE while I wait for my INR to get within therapeutic range again? I ve noticed since being off coumadin my chest has felt slightly heavier, I ve had an infrequent dry cough and also burping (air mostly, not belching) all the time. Any suggestions here would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hello

Thank you for trusting HCM

Dear don't worry among dvt only 4-10%patients may develop pulmonary embolism. So minor embolism gives no symptoms. Continue Coumadin
Maintain INR between 2-3.cough may be due to lower respiratory infection. Take antibiotics and see the response. still have doubt please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly. I think I answered to your question if you have more questions please feel ask.

Take care
