What Causes Filling Up Of Lungs Even After Draining?

My best friend - female 50 years old -5'8" 180 lbs. Had triple negative breast cancer which returned two yrs. Ago after a 7 yr. Remission. She has spots throughout her lungs and some in her liver. She is on a monthly dose of chemo which has been keeping her tumors stable. In the past week she has had her lungs drained twice - and today had a drain put in. Why are her lungs filling up? Does this mean her cancer is spreading/chemo failing?

Yes,I am afraid this is sign if terminal stage of cancer and therapy is very limited in this case. Some measures may be done for slowing down accumulation of fluids so you should consult, thoracal surgeon for it.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us.
