General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The possibilities are severe gastritis and acid reflux which can cause similar symptoms.

As a first like management you can take antacids like Pantoprazole or Omeprazole for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist you can consult a gastroenterologist and go for an endoscopy to look for any lump or mass in the upper part of throat or food pipe.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
