I was lying in bed and lifted my head up and turned my neck a little and had this excrutiating pain in the back of my head and neck area. I've had a minor lingering pain ever since, and when you push on a small area on the back of my head there is some pain. I have felt this pain before but not nearly as severe as the pain I felt that morning. Ususally it occurs when I turn my head quickly, I have always considered this to be some kind of neck strain.
