Hi,

Hard to say without seeing it. Foot punctures often bleed a lot simply because fluid runs downhill. The pressure on the vessels is higher the lower you go. There can be bleeding problems from too little platelets (found with a CBC) or with a problem with the liver (found with blood tests for clotting). And mostly, that isn't the case. There is still risks of tetanus and infection. These would not show up immediately but one should have the risks addressed promptly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
