What Causes Episodes Of Blackouts?

I have blacked out a few times. It is like turning a TV off and then back on again. I went to a neurologist and was told I have a scar on my frontal lobe. This was about five years ago. He prescribed Keepra? I stopped taking it and been fine for several years but then I had the same blackout twice in the last few months. I am not sure what to do.

Neurologist 's  Response
Hello dear
Your narration and consultation with neurologist points your diagnosis towards localisation related epilepsy. In this case you need to take an antiepileptic regularly for minimum duration of 2-3 years. The stopping of drug depends upon seizure control.
You must again consult your neurologist and start the drugs again.
Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health
