What Causes Earache And Traces Of Blood In The Mucus?
I have had sinusitis for three to four weeks now with pain in my ears, my GP has been great been put on steroids and antibiotics etc, but then asthma developed after a chest infection. I have put on 8lb in two weeks but now my earache has returned and phlegm happily gone white from green but now traces of blood. Having headaches and tired chest at times from breathing/coughing.

Acute bronchitis may cause blood in sputam. Other conditions cause blood in sputam is bronchectasis, tuberculosis and malignancy etc. Don't worry it may subside. Use antibiotics for two weeks. Avoid cool drinks and ice creams. Use water vapour inhalation thrice a day for five days.
Drink hot water regularly. Use syrup ascoryl two teaspoons thrice a day for five days. If symptoms have not improved, please consult with your physician, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
