What Causes Ear Pain While Suffering From Toothache?

I rubbed my ear because I have a toothache and it was causing my jaw to clenche causing tightness and pain. I heard a pop and felt a sudden cold sensation from my ear down the side of my jaw and cheek. that was about a month ago, do you have any idea what coudl have happened and if the pain in my ear is related more to that incident or if it is all related to my toothache?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns....

As per your complain it seems that while you rubbed your ear there has been traumatic injury to the inside of ear and the bout of a cold sensation running from ear down the jaw and cheek can be due to nerve stimulation at the time of rubbing and leading to running of a sensation along the nerve route..
In case if you do not have any problem in ear after that and there has been no other episode of the same symptoms you need not to worry as there does not seems any damaging injury..
In case if you have a toothache you should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and along with a thorough clinical evaluation he can advise you antibiotics and painkillers and after taking an x ray he can advise you appropriate treatment like root canal treatment or extraction depending upon tooth condition..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
