What Causes Ear Pain And Echo When Others Talk?

hi, I m having doubts about my health condition and was hopping to find answers. I was recently diagnosed with laryngitis due to a viral infection and started having a lot of pain in my right ear. The problem now is that i can hear an echo when others talk and I m able to hear my own voice. I looked it up and it seems to be PET but i just want to know if this will eventually go away and in about how long? I m starting to become extremely concerned. Thank!!

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
History of laryngitis along with pain and echo are suggesting that you have got an infection in the ear.
You need to consult an ENT Surgeon for clinical evaluation, investigations and treatment accordingly.
It may take 1to 3 weeks for resolution.
Take care.
