Hi, Novelon contains both desogestrel and ethinyl estradiol that is used in the prevention of unwanted pregnancies from unprotected sexual intercourses. It may cause stomach discomfort, GIT upset, dryness of mouth or throat, indigestion, abdominal bloating, nausea, vomiting, headache, sweating, easily bruising or bleeding, impaired wound healing, spotting or breakthrough bleeding between periods, irregular uterine bleeding, breast enlargement and tender, vaginal bleeding, vaginal discharge, allergic reactions etc. Most of these side effects are mild as well as self limiting and usually go away over time as the body adjusts to this medication.
