What Causes Dizziness To An Old Person?

My grandma is visiting with my family and I this weekend, and she woke up this morning feeling very dizzy. She says it is not vertigo because when she sits down she still feels dizzy. She says she does not know what is wrong. She had a stroke around a year ago. Should we take her to the hospital?
