Hi,

According to your description the possible causes of your problem are:
- Blood loss during the menstrual period can affect few women especially who are anemic. Decreased hemoglobin levels can present with dizziness, fainting, etc.
-Pelvic infection can also present with pain abdomen, giddiness, etc. symptoms.
- Though you have undergone tubal ligation, ovulation will occur as usual.

Rarely even after tubal ligation, pregnancy is possible, sometimes ectopic pregnancy. So, if the pain persists better to get evaluated. By clinical examination and ultrasound the possible cause of your problem can be identified and treatment can be taken accordingly. Decreased hemoglobin levels can be treated with iron supplements. Pelvic infection needs antibiotics. In case of ectopic, depending on the size of the sac and serum beta HCG levels management can be planned.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sree Gouri S. R., OBGYN
