What Causes Discomfort In The Head After Taking Phenoxymethylpenicillin?
Hi I had tonsillitis last week and was prescribed phenoxymethylpenicillin 500mg 4 times a day. The tonsillitis cleared up after a few days but I now have what feels like a trapped nerve in my head. It s better if I move around but if I sit or lay down it s excruciating and I can t sleep. I m wondering if I ve got a trapped nerve from laying down most of last week due to the tonsillitis?? Or could this be a reaction to the penicillin? Thank you

What type of discomfort in head your feelings??
It may not cause head discomfort unless you're allergic to above drug.Headache may be due to infection like sinusitis or tension headache or raised intracranial pressure etc.
Use tablet Tramadol with paracetamol twice a day for five days.If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
