Hi.

If you are 16 days late and have had unprotrcted sexual contact, then it would be in your best interest to visit a clinic for a serum hCG (blood test) in order to confirm or rule out pregnancy at the earliest. If pregnanch is confirmed then you need to discontinue the birth control pills immediately and visit your doctor for contraceptive failure.

But if pregnancy is ruled out, even then you should visit your doctor in order to help regularise your period and find the cause for the discrepancy.

Best wishes.
