What Causes Delay In Periods While On Homeopathic Treatment To Lower Prolactin Levels?

Hi My prolactin levels are found around 50 when trying for conception. conception fails for more than 4 years. Took homeopathy medicine for lowering prolactin levels for the past 1 month. Missing my period however pregnancy results show negative. Is it due to the homeopathy medicines side-effects I m missing my period ? Please advise

Hi,

Hyper prolcatinemia (high prolactin level) itself can cause delayed and infrequent periods, along with infertility. Since I am not aware of the contents of medicines you take, I am not able to comment on its side effect.

Anyhow, if already evaluated, we need evaluation to find out the cause of increased prolactin which may need few more blood tests like thyroid function and brain scanning. Kindly discuss with your doctor.
