What Causes Dark Purple Non Raised Blood Blisters On Body?

I've noticed that my cuts and mild abrasions on my body are not healing normally. They are turning dark purple and became non-raised blood blisters. The scars are quite more pronounced than normal. A mild abrasion that would have disappeared by now is black. It became infected, which has rarely happened to me with such a minor abrasion. This is happening along with a strange increase in body acne. I'm 38 and my skin is worse than it ever was as a teen. I don't know it it's related but I have swelling along with tightness and a tickling sensation coming from under my left ribs. These changes with my skin started about the same time I noticed the swelling under my ribs. I got an upper gastro endoscopy and everything was normal. Thanks.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Inability of the abrasions to heal properly and formation of blood blisters can be due to platelet related disorders or disorders of coagulation disorders.
In such a case, certain blood investigations are required.
Complete hemogram, platelet counts, bleeding time, clotting time, prothrombin time and activated partial prothrombin time are required to assess where there is abnormality in the platelets or in coagulation pathways.
After assessing these investigations appropriate management can be planned further.

Thanks ad take care

Thankyou for the Question
As from your history ,it is not clear that for how long you have got these symptoms. If healing process is late, you should get blood sugar level checked. Also some time deranged clotting factors and low platelates can be the cause.
My Question is that ,what kind of swelling is under your left rib..Is that spleen?
Well my opinion would be ,you should be thoroughly evaluated by a Dermatologist and ,Physician, and you may also need some blood tests e.g C.B.C( to rule out wether blood counts of different cells are normal ( to rule out infection,or leukamia ) ,LFT (to rule out liver disease), and ultrasound abdomen (to rule out any mass).Your signs and symptoms needs to be evaluated thoroughly by consultant.
Hope fully my answer is helpfull for you
You can ask further,if you have any Quiry.
