What Causes Dandruff And Itching Scalp?
Hi my scalp is burning, itchy, patchy dandruff and flaky at times. My scalp is dry and sensitive as well also my front hair line skin is discolored. I have ketoconazole shampoo (prescription) and im still dealing with this discomfort frequently. What is going on?

Thank you for posting on HCM.
The condition you have described is called seborrheic dermatitis, a skin inflammation coupled with fungal infection.
I would recommend you a 10 day course of oral fluconazole.
Apply betamethasone and clotrimazole lotion twice a day over entire scalp.
Use shampoo containing ketoconazole and selenium sulfite for rinsing daily.
Maintain hygiene.
