What Causes Cramps In The Lower Abdomen While Suffering From Inguinal Hernia?
Was diagnosed with inguinal hernia today. Doc said should get it taken care of in next few weeks. I had lower ab inflammation approx 6-8 weeks before doc visit today. Now that I know I have one I am feeling cramping pulling more. Not sure if just knowing is causing more thought and awareness of it or if it is getting worse. What is worse case scenario waiting a few more weeks before surgery?

Hi,
A hernia is pulling out of few an abdominal organs from the abdominal cavity. This causes stretching of tissues & pain it's the normal thing to occur in the hernia.
Hernia without any complication can wait for surgery for a few weeks. It's very difficult to comment without knowing clear findings of examination /MRI report.
I would say it's better to be in touch of the treating surgeon,don't be scared but be watchful for the degree of sufferings. The appearance of fever, nausea, vomiting, severe sweating & dry mouth indicates strangulation & urgent care.
Believe the doctor treating you after a detailed evaluation of your health. Follow the instructions given, do not massive por foment.-be watchful for adverse symptoms.
