What Causes Cracker Sores In Throat?

I started out with a pink eye...a few days later my throat became sore & I began to notice canker sores under my tongue & now they've developed on my throat...first pink eye, now this! Could all of this be correlated or just a coincidence? What can be causing this sore throat/canker sores? It's been about a week now & these symptoms have not diminished. May I add that I took cipro for a urinary tract infection less than a month ago...please help! :/

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Unless examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is. The possible causes are Apthous ulcers or Coxsackie virus infection or oral sex may lead to develop ulcers.

Use salt water gargling and use multivitamin tablets. Also, use dentopain gel locally. Please consult your ENT specialist, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
