Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have sniffles, slight cough. Have been running a low grade fever for several days. Today I was very weak. I hike a great deal (hike national park trails a few times a year). Today it took me 3 hours to walk 3 miles. Had to stop to rest several times. Legs very weak. Balance is off, almost missed a bench when I went to sit down.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Fever and cough lasting for many days indicate some ongoing infection in your body, particularly lungs. Tuberculosis is most common in such situation. Kindly see your doctor at the earliest for a chest x-ray and routine blood testing. Till then take rest, drink plenty of fluids, and paracetamol for fever.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Muhammed Aslam
