Pediatrician 's  Response
a TSH of 7.4 , gaining weight , and having a dry skin is very suggestive of hypothyroidism, which means that her thyroid gland is not producing enough thyroxine which is a very important hormone and had various functions in the body ,
repeating the thyroid function to make sure of the diagnosis and sending antibody tests for the thyroid is important
according to the results diagnosis can be confirmed and medications will be prescribed accordingly
I hope this helps
