What Causes Constant Body Aches While Having Sinus Infection?
I have muscular & skeletal aches from the base of my head throughout my body to the tips of my toes. I also have had a cold for 10 days, no cough...sinuses draining, especially the left side. Sore throat on the weekend, stayed in bed. Throat has improved. It s the aching that is confusing me... sinus infection? pnemnia?
Body pains are generally common with viral infections. It may cause other symptoms as you have experienced, sore throat, sinuses draining and also body pains. Meanwhile make sure you take some paracetamol and ibuprofen, drink plenty of water, do nasal lavage with saline solution and try to rest as possible.
If you have no fever it is less likely to be pneumonia or bacterial sinus infection but if the symptoms go beyond 2 weeks you will need to have a visit with your doctor to rule out sinusitis and pneumonia.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General & Family Physician
