What Causes Color Change Of Black Mole On Buttock To Red And Itchy?

Hello! I am a female, 30 year old, average wt, 5 2 ...have had a mole on my right butt cheek for several years and recently I noticed that it has raised up and appears to have turned a reddish shade. It has become itchy. I normally do not tan, but I did get some sun recently in that area and did burn a bit. I am wondering if I should be concerned, or if this might just be an after effect from my sunburn?

Hi...thanks for sharing your problem here in this fotum...
Moles have 10-15% more chances of developing cancer as compared to normal skin...and thses are some of danger signs like coloue change, itching etc...so i will advise you to consult plastic surgeon or general surgeon...better to excise it and send the tissue for biopsy....hope you got the answer..thanks
