What Causes Chronic Constipation While On Pain Medication?
Hi, i have been on pain medications daily for many years. I have chronic constipation from these drugs..recently i have noticed that i have a feeling of fullness in my stomach along with a burning sensation that never goes away. it is just below my sternum right in the middle of my upper abdomen. I am female, age 59. i am concerned that i might have a blockage somewhere. this has been going on for about 3 weeks now. thank you for your time

Pain medications are often associated with GI complications like constipation and stomach ulcers or hyperacidity problems.
This is what's happening from 3 weeks now.
You need upper endoscopy to rule this out.
PPIs to start like Omeprazole, antacids and simethicone.
