What Causes Chronic Blockage In One Of The Nostrils?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...my left nostril feels harder to breathe through as opposed to my right nostril that is very clear. I find that when I pull on the left nostril it opens up and I can breathe clearly. What do you think is happening.

Hi,

This can be because of nasal septum deviation towards the left side which obstructs the air passage significantly too cause breathing difficulty. You need to get done radiological investigations and endoscopic examination of the nose to confirm the diagnosis.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saurabh Vijay, General & Family Physician
