What Causes Chronic Acne After Discontinuing Birth Control Pills?

Got an IUD and about a month later decided to stop taking my BC pill. I have bad acne and was scared to get off of the pill for that reason. It’s been a month and a half since I stopped taking the pill and I haven’t gotten my period yet (was supposed to get it probably 2-3 weeks ago). Is this normal for going off of the pill after being on it for about 5 years?
