What Causes Chest Pain With BP 120/72?

My wife is having sharp pains in left chest above her breast. They come and go, her blood pressure is 120/72. When it starts to hurt she gets real anxious and cries but then it goes away and she is all normal again. Could this be just an anxiety problem or something else?

Hi,

Chest pain should never be underestimated and every type of chest pain should be evaluated to rule out whether it is of the cardiac origin.

BP of 120/72 is normal and generally not associated with chest pain. Cardiac chest pain occurs after exercise or exertion and relieves after rest.

I'll advise you to get an ECG and stress test done for her to rule out whether it is cardiac associated or not.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
