What Causes Chest Pain After Drinking Coffee?

I get chest pain after I drink regular or decaf coffee. I think it might be from the acid. I've been taking Nexium for about a month now, and this morning I tried to drink a cup of decaf coffee and right away I got the pain again. I also wanted to know if taking green coffee extract pills for fat burning would cause the same pain.

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, green coffee extract pills will also cause you similar kind of pain.
Actually, in my opinion, you are mostly having GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease).
It is due to laxity of gastroesophageal sphincter.
Because of this the acid of the stomach tends to come up in the esophagus and cause chest pain.
Coffee contains caffeine. And caffeine plays huge roe in laxity of sphincter.
So coffee extract will also have caffeine and so it will also give you trouble.
So better not to take those pills.
Along with drugs following lifestyle modifications will help you more for relieving symptoms.
Avoid hot and spicy food, junk food, large meals.
Avoid tea and coffee. Quit smoking and alcohol if you have these habits.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
