What Causes C Shaped Itchy Rashes Around Chin Despite Using Clotrimazole?
Hi, I have a half moon shaped rash for months. It started on my chin in a couple places. Went away, appeared on the underside of my chin in a couple different places and has not gone away. It is now also appearing next to my lips. It s a dark red, raised and dry feeling. It also is itchy. I have tried eczema cream and clotrimozole cream and neither have helped. Any ideas how to treat this rash?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have c shaped itchy rashes around chin despite using Clotrimazole . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like perioral dermatitris , rosacea , SLE , fungal infection or allergic reaction from some cosmetic product , soap or detergent , bacterial or viral skin infection or some physiological conditions . I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order skin patch test , allergy test to find out allergen or blood test to detect other infection . Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants , anti bacterial or anti viral along with anti inflammatory . For now stop apply any cosmetic product on face , apply moisturizer , because sometimes such symptoms occur due to dry skin also , take anti histamine like benadryl twice a day and prevent it from sun exposure .
