What Causes Burning Sensation Inside The Ear?

My left ear has been burning intermittenly for over a month. The doctor put me on azithromycin 250 but it got worse. I consulted an ENT who just looked inside and put me on another course of azithromycin. This just irritates my stomach! The burning feels like it is increasing. Is there any way to see inside my ear where I feel the burning?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to an ear infection.
I suggest to use a gastro protector such as Prilosec in the morning before breakfast.
It will help the stomach issues while using Azithromycine.
Meanwhile,I suggest using an antibiotic ear drop for local application.
I also suggest using an anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
