What Causes Burning Micturition During 14 Weeks Of Pregnancy?

Hi, Iam pregnant in my 14 weeks after IVF. Crinon gel 8%,progesteron inj. All stopped by 12 weeks, all scans nomal. 6days ago Ideveloped burning micturition,frequency.. But no spotting or ab. Pain.. After investigations cystitis diagnosed .. Prescribed utragestan 200 mg 3/day and ampicillin 1gm 4/d.. Istarted utragestan for 2days .i want to stop it b/c it is not indicated in my case.. What about ur opinion .., Can Istop it suddenly? Thanks

Hello and welcome,

I understand that you have conceived after IVF and are now having a urine infection.
I would recommend to continue taking the utragestan. A urine infection may predispose to abortion and utragestan may help prevent this. The pregnancy has resulted from IVF and so every measure must be taken to prevent it from aborting. Hence the drug has been prescribed. It does not harm the baby and is safe.
So please understand all these issues before stopping the drug.
