Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Over the last 5 years, I have had a rash/small bumps that I can feel on my forearm, but can t really see. At times they itch terribly. I think it s just during the summer, but I have not paid enough attention to know. I garden and I think it s when I sweat. It has never spread until now. It just stared to spread a few inches towards my hand.
These symptoms could be an allergic reaction to pollen, plants or insect bite. You will need to take antihistamines or steroids to reduce the itching and allergic bumps.
Inflammation and irritation of the skin causes bumps and the other diagnosis to rule out are eczema, acne and folliculitis. Keep the affected part clean inorder to prevent any infections. The symptoms will reduce in 3 to 5 days.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards Dr.Saranya Ramadoss, General and Family Physician
