What Causes Bump On Skin Near Outer Corner Of Eye, Itching And Swelling In Eyelid?

5 days ago, I felt a small bump on my skin near the outer corner of my eye which I thought it was likely a clogged pore (blackhead). Throughout the day, it continued to swell and felt unnatural - unlike anything i have experienced before. Then two days later, it swelled into a large red lump and is very sore. It is soft to the touch and it feels like there may be a lump under the skin. This morning i awoke to a swollen eyelid and the area is itchy so I have been putting warm salt water on it all morning and it feels better but it is still intact.

Hello
It seems from the history you have given that you are probably having a inflammatory swelling involving the glands of the eyelids.
The treatment is by antibiotic eye drops and antiinflammatory drugs.
Hot compression applied to the swelling can reduce your symptoms.
Since this involves prescription I advice to consult your eye doctor for confirmation of diagnosis and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
