What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge After Taking Unwanted 72?

Hi Doctor, I had unprotected sex for the first time on the 6th day of my period 7th march.(I was not bleeding that day).I took unwanted 72 within 12 hours.on 15th march I started getting brown discharge. Most of it on wiping. the pain was just like a period pain. It was there for about 3 days. I have an irregular cycle. My period date was supposed to be between 31march to 2nd April .I haven t got my periods yet. I did 2 hpt s at home but both negative. I do not have any symptoms except for the fact that I am very worried. Please suggest what should I do?

Hi, I think if pregnancy test is negative, you are not pregnant. So, don't worry about it. Brown discharge can be a side effect of I pill. I pill can delay your periods also. So, you can take some medicines like meprate or deviry for inducing periods. As you told you have irregular periods, get yourself evaluated for that. Do a thyroid profile and prolactin level and a ultrasound to see the uterus and ovaries to find out the cause of irregular periods. It can be due to some thyroid disorder or polycystic ovarian syndrome. Talk to your doctor regarding this. You may need some hormonal treatment. Hope it helps.
