What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge After Taking I Pill?
I took ipill within 24 hours. After 5 days i had unexpected vaginal bleeding fo 2 days. Now again after 15 days i have brown smelly vaginal discharge.and there is still a week time for my actual Period date. So what is causing this brown discharge? Is it pregnancy or any infection or old stock of vaginal lining coming out? Please do reply. ( i am 18 now)

I can understand your concern. I pill is an emergency contraceptive pill which prevents pregnancy by changing hormonal levels immediately. Due to change of these hormonal levels, the menstrual cycle changes and so the day of the menstruation. As you got your periods a week ago your expected date, this is now your new date of menstruation and you can expect menstruation of the next month based on this date.
In addition, the bleeding that lasted for 2 days could be due to ovulation or the breakthrough bleeding after taking I pill. If smelly discharge continues, you should visit a gynecologist as it may indicate presence of infection.
I would also like to advise you to not to make I pill your routine contraception method as it has many severe side effects and it is not recommended to exceed its use of more than 2 pills a month. You can switch to other conventional contraceptive methods like condoms, IUD etc.
