What Causes Brown Discharge After Having Sysron N 10 Tablet?
HI Doctor, I got abortion during August 6 then sep 5th i got my peeriod back..This month i did not get period when i consulted doctor she gave me sysron n 10 tab for 5 days ..today is my third day found brown discharge no pain also i am getting scare will there be chances of pergnancy.My age is 23 what all are the things to be followed here after please guide me

After abortion, it may take some time for regularization of the reproductive hormone levels and menstrual cycles. The possible causes of the brown discharge you are experiencing are:
- Sometimes menstrual flow can be preceded by premenstrual spotting which can present as brownish discharge, brown color usually indicates the collected blood in the uterus.
- While taking the Sysron tablet, which is a progestin containing tablet, if you miss the tablet or alter the time of intake of the tablet that can lead to the withdrawal bleeding, which can present as brownish discharge.
If you have not used any contraception after abortion, better to go for a blood test for pregnancy to rule out the possibility. If the test gives a negative result, possibly the brown discharge may convert into regular menstrual flow, then you can stop the Sysron tablets. If the brown discharge decreases, you can complete the Sysron tablets and after completion of the tablets possibly in one week to 10 days you can get the withdrawal bleeding.
