What Causes Body Tremors Along With Hot Flashes And Nausea?

I am experiencing a feeling of internal shakiness, hot flashes, and nausea. I was on lexapro for about 9 months and weaned off of it this summer, but feel like I have become dependent on medication to keep me from having anxiety issues. I gain weight and have felt numb on SSRIs and don t want to be on them. The medications for anxiety and depression seem to be a real guessing gain, even to physicians. Any suggestions?

hi mam/sir,tremors,hot flashes can occur as adverse effects of lexapro during its treatment.but as you have tapered the drug 6 months back,i dont believe these could be its side effects.even anxiety can cause similar symptoms.in my experience i have seen many patients recovering better from anxiety, depression with medication combined with behavioural therapy.of course i do accept that weight gain is annoying but let me remind you that its completely reversible.with minimal changes in diet and regular exercise of 45min/day for 5 days a week, not only weight is put under control but anxiety and depression are also reduced.to most of my patients,i advise to have medication along with behavioural therapy from a clinical psychologist.if behavioural therapy is not feasible, you can have mind relaxation techniques like YOGA,progressive muscle relaxation therapy, meditation.i also advise my patients to have a light chit chat with family or friends whenever they feel low mood or anxious.also they can opt for travel to a serene place.all these appear to be simple but have great impact on our subconscious mind.afterall good or positive thoughts strenghthen your mind and body and reverse is the case with negative or weak thoughts.hope my explanation satisfies you.any more queries are welcome with pleasure.thank you.take care.bye.
