Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

fibromyalgia may cause widespread pain. Some patients may describe it like the flu, others may report more localized complaints. Depression may accompany fibromyalgia and may cause reduced drive for various activities, sleep disturbances, feeling lousy, etc.

If your current treatment plan has not been successful then you should talk about it with the treating doctor. Drugs like Cymbalta may need some time to show their effects. Your doctor should reassess your situation and suggest treatment changes.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Panagiotis Zografakis, Internal Medicine Specialist
