What Causes Blotches Under The Eyes After Sinus Drainage?

my son has had alot of sinus drainage and a runny nose for the last few days, clear really... but he has a smell to his breath and red blotchiness under his eyes on his upper cheek area and some lighter red on his eyelids and above. it happened over night and it s just very red, he said it doesnt itch and he just has a runny nose

Hi,

It may be a viral rash on the face in the form of erythematous patches. As there is rhinitis, most probably is a viral infection. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. I would recommend you to give him bed rest for few days. Give him antihistaminics with montelukast... like tab vercet LM. Apply calamine lotion on the affected areasto soothen the skin.
