What Causes Blood In Urine And Frequent Urination After Having Sex?

Hello, I m a 19 year old girl and I lost my virginity about 6 days ago. Two days ago, a little bit of blood started appearing in my pee and it started to hurt a little, along with the sensation of always having to go to the bathroom despite not needing to. Is this normal? What should I do?

I really appreciate your concern.
Discussion:- This could be normal one if not persistence, this is happening due to tearing of hymen and this forms the little wound there.
Medication:- Local antiseptic can be applied and best would be "Povidone Iodine" cream.
Advise:- Proper care need to be taken for hygiene.
Comments:- This is nothing to worry, and it will be okay within few days or even less than this.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
The complaints you have appears to be normal when you have intercourse for the first couple of times.
Appearance of blood while you pass urine is mainly because of breakage of hymen and bleeding of its remnants which might be still present.
Urge to urinate is also experienced by some women due to pressure sensations on the bladder and urethra.
So, don't be worried. Relax and eat well. Keep well hydrated. Drink citrus fruit juices to keep your urine more alkaline.
